One task a month
Mobilising the classical music world into action.
How?
We’re encouraging people in classical music to join our One task a month campaign by setting themselves a goal of doing one good thing for the planet per month.
Why?
Many of us find it hard to act because we get stuck in thoughts like “My actions can’t really change anything”, “I don’t know where to start” or “It’s up to politicians or businesses to make the necessary changes.”
All types of tasks can be taken on - such as litter picking!
One task a month aims to help us move into action by giving:
Motivation - promoting the idea that every positive action is worth taking, no matter how small it feels.
A timeframe - deadlines can help us get things done.
Community - it’s important to feel that we’re not alone, so we have a WhatsApp group to let each other know what actions we’re taking.
Inspiration - some of our community have a page on our website. Why? To inspire others. These pages are like gardens - over time they grow, with beautiful pictures, videos or descriptions of their completed tasks.
One musician’s task: getting more plants for home!
Join One task a month! Here are three ways:
Basic: Take on a task from this list (or make up your own) and do it this month!
Intermediate: Basic + join our WhatsApp group (if you use WhatsApp)
Advanced: Basic + intermediate + inspire others by having a page on our website. Write to us and we’ll make you one.
